The decay of a Nightshade

The morning was just starting, many Jinn's of Queen's Tara's court, where entering the palace to talk with their queen, some have traveled great distances to talk to Tara. One court member was there earlier then the rest, she leaned alone next to the stem of a flower, and enjoyed the peace and quiet, before the other memebers entered and she would remain in the back, away from judgmental words and glares, no one really took kindly to a Jinn who was of a poisionous variety. some kept their distance from her, and she did the same with them as well. Some would wonder why was she there in the first place. As the other members of the court entered inside, she saw a familiar face, and smiled as her dearest and only approached, with a bright and happy smile.

A Jinn of Pokeweeds, hurried to her friend and gave her a tight hug." Nolana! I'm so glad you came, did you hear any news on why Queen Tara summoned us. Especially us." she smiled estaticly.

Nolana looked at her confused. " What do you mean 'Especially us' you know something I don't know, tell me." she said with hope in her voice. " You mean something good is coming our way right? Lacca tell me!" she said shaking her friend almost getting attention from the others. She regained some composer, and waited for her friend to tell her the news.

Lacca couldn't contain her excitement. " I don't know exactly, but Queen Tara told me yesterday , to make sure you and I to be here today. Out of all those who live in Moonhaven, only Queen Tara treats us kindly. Aside from Ronin and Nim Galuu, he's fun." she giggled.

Nala nodded in agreement, " You two are fun to be around with. There's goes the terrible twos." Nolana said folding her arms together, as two other Jinns, one was Daisy and a Dandlelion, smirking as they approached, the two poison outcast.

Lacca scowled at the two. " Look whose here, Danda." the daisy said teasingly.

" The misfits of Moonhaven themselves." Danda said as they walked right passed them,

Lacca and Nolana looked at each other, and scoffed at those two. " One day, they will have what they just deserve, and I will be there to witness the moment, I assure you." Nolana said to Lacca. Suddenly everyone muttered as they saw Tara enter the room, with Ronin by her side.

" Those two are always together." Lacca smiled holding her hands together near her cheek, with a sigh.  "It must be wonderful..." Lacca expressed.

Nolana smiled, and nodded yes.  "Let's hurry to the front, if they allow us." Nolana expressed, but knowing the others, they would probably make a path for them. Which actually happened for them, the moment they walked near the crowd, a path right towards Tara. Nolana thought it was so convient.

Nolana and Lacca, curtsyed before Queen Tara, with a smile. Tara smiled. Lacca was the happiest she could at the moment. Lacca was a fun loving Jinn, always excited, and at times hyper. Nolana appreciated her friend personality, it made everything more enjoyable.

"Nolana, Lacca. Please come with me." Tara told them kindly.

Causing the others to whisper, and talk amongst themselves. Nolana and Lacca followed Tara and Ronin to a private room, which was surrounded in tall flowers reaching for the sun. They walked with a smile on their faces, they couldn't believe it, they smiled at each other, stomping quietly together. Then walked with elegance and grace. Nolana especially had a wonderful walk, it was elegant, poise, with a strong commanding hint to it. They stopped with Tara and Ronin, she turned around to them, and with a smile to them.

" I know your wondering why I have summoned you two. But really I wanted to speak to Nolana, It's a matter of great importance. It has to do with Mandrake." she told them, the name alone caused them to gasp and backaway for a moment,

"Mandrake? Why couldn't someone else do this great honor? Your majesty." Lacca said going behind Nolana from fear,

" I know this is a great deal to ask of you, but knowing you are not like the others, I have decided for Nolana to go and propse a treaty to Mandrake, I want us all to come to an agreement of some kind, My subjects of MoonHaven, are worried about the blight, and fear for their families and their children, and so I must once again, to you Nolana and you too Lacca, would you two go to Wrathwood and meet with Mandrake. I would gladly appreciate your efforts on this matter." Queen Tara said to them, with a hint of worry for them.

Ronin spoke, " You two will not be alone, I will go with as your personal guard, with a group of my finest Leafmen to escort us."

Nolana and Lacca looked at each other and back to them, in shock. " Queen Tara, as your humble servant I will be honored to handle such a matter and request." bowed Nolana.
Lacca bowed as well. "With respect Queen Tara, may I go with Nolana?" she asked.

" Of course." Tara smiled. " you two will leave tomorrow morning." she instructed kindly and left with Ronin.

Nolana and Lacca bowed and hurried back out of the palace, and skreiked, and then cried silently. " Boggans, why Boggans." Lacca whined in fear.

" This is a great honor, we must do this, Moon Haven needs us, and who knows maybe we can become respected at last. " Nolana said thinking about this situation in  a postitive light.  She chuckled lightly.


"Come on, I think we earned a drink at Nim's." Lacca smiled, they both walked, and ran to their dragonflies, and flew to Nim's.  Lacca and Nolana walked inside the grand tree, thankfully it was pretty empty for the moment, they both smiled and sat down together. Nim saw the two and walked over to them. " Ladies! Welcome back, what can I do for you?" he asked, he missed having them over. Lacca was his favorite of all.

" Things are going our way Nim." Lacca giggled.

Nolana smiled. and nodded in agreement.

" What can i get cha." he asked.

"Anything strong." Nolana said, feeling a headache coming on.

"Sure thing." He replied and went to get them something to drink.

Lacca sighed and felt a moment of a panic attack coming up. " I think he might have to make that a double for me." Lacca said trying to control her breathing.

" Nolana, you do realize we are the first Jinn's to go to Wrath wood." she whispered the name as she hugged herself. " I'm afraid I don't think I'm going to sleep for the night." she  panted quietly.



" Don't worry, Ronin said he will make sure we will be safe, during our meeting there." Nolana said trying to keep her friend from panicking.


" Nolana, why?" Lacca on the brink of tears.


" What's wrong, why are you crying?" Nolana asked concerned.


" I just think whatever we do will be a lost cause, even if we do this, no one is going to like us for it, they probably we will never return." Lacca admitted, wipping away her tears.


" If so, who cares, we don't need them. Queen Tara wants us to do this, and for the safety of her kingdom, think of the little ones, who are scared and afraid of boggans too, we have to do for them and for ourselves, even if they will never accept us as one of them." Nolana said encouraging her frightened friend.


Lacca sniffled and nodded. " Your right, Nolana." she sniffled while drying her eyes.


Nim came back with two drinks for them, and they all began to talk, but not about what was going to happen, they thought it would be better to not upset the mood, they were laughing and joking about they did not drink too much they wanted to good start for tomorrow.. As the night approached, The girls bid Nim goodnight, and flew on their dragonflies back their homes "Have good night Nolana." Lacca said as she flew to another direction.


" Good night Lacca." Nolana said as she flew to her quiet field, and slept in one of her favorite flowers, she was exhausted, she entered in the closed flower and rested in it's dark security. only a bit of moonlight shown through, she loved the night, and everything about it, she felt more at peace in the night. She thought about the day ahead of her tomorrow morning, she sighed and fell in to a quiet sleep.

Before the morning came, The nightshade Jinn woke up and sat down on a rock, and listened to the night, she could hear the wind blowing through the tress quietly, deers eating from afar, and the songs of the crickets, and the dance of fireflies, as the night came to an end, she took a deep breathe in, and braced herself for the day ahead. Nolana whistled for her Dragonfly, with a high jump with a back flip she landed on her dragonfly and flew off to Moonhaven.  

As she flew she could see Ronin and Queen Tara waiting for her, and so was Lacca who was pacing quietly. It soothed her, Lacca sighed in relief when she saw her friend landed. "Lacca, your already here?" Nola asked.

"Yes, I've been waiting here for two hours." Lacca admitted, " But don't worry I did have a goodnight sleep." she smiled.


" Alright ladies, ready?" Ronin asked.

" As ready as we'll ever be." Nolana smiled, with Lacca nodding in reply.

"Please be safe you two. Remember our terms are just for the safety of MoonHaven. and to stop attacking our borders and our subjects or I would have no choice but to prepare for a war, I wish to avoid at all cost." Tara expressed.

" What if he doesn't listen to us?" Nolana asked. " What should we do then?"

" You will know what to do. You have a strength that you just haven't seen or used yet. I think it will be the day today, that you will use it... Ambassadors please be careful." Tara smiled.

Nolana and Lacca gasped, and bowed in thanks. "Ambassadors! Nolana, we're Ambassadors!" Lacca smiled and was just in disbelieve.


"Let's go... Ambassador Lacca."

" We're suppose to use our whole names. I'm Lacca Pleea Nighday." Lacca replied.

"Your kidding? Pleea? Really?" Nolana asked in disbief.

Lacca laughed. " How about yours come on, Let's have it."

Nolana rolled her eyes, and with her eyes tightly closed. " Nolana Nightshade MataniCandra."

Lacca's left eye twitched with her eye ridge up. " Eesh Nolana, wow just... wow." Lacca said while getting on her Dragonfly. Seconds later, they were on their to Wrathwood.

As they were reaching Wrathwood, Lacca flew to catch up with Nolana.

"Do you think, this will productive?" Lacca asked.

"I hope so. I was just thinking the same thing." Nolana replied, and remained quiet during the ride, she thought if this was all for nothing, would they be opened to a treaty? Who was Mandrake ? Would he be reasonable? She sighed and continued on riding her Dragonfly... What awaited for them there, and what waited for her...
