Chapter 6  Recovery, and milestones...

Mikey, Leo and April didn't know what to do or say, but April decided to make some tea, and gave it to Molly, she sipped gently, Raph did not let her go the whole time, as morning came, Raph had fallen asleep with her in his arms, he slowly looked at her, and... she was breathing. He gave a sigh of relief. "That's it Molly, keep breathing honey." he smiled and gently stroked her hair.

One of the twins started to cry, and Raph gently hurried to pick up Monet who was crying. He gently placed him next to Molly. "Mommy's home now. It's okay son." he said.

Monet felt his mother's warmth, and scent as he calmed down, and snuggled closely to her. Molly's hand gently but weakly held him to her chest. "I'm... back... mommy is back." she weakly said.

Raph heard her voice, and held back the tears, he looked and saw her eyes weakly opened, with her arm holding Monet, he held his son with his arm. "Don't leave me like that." he told her.

" Sorry. I didn't know it would happen like this." she spoke tiredily.

"We'll talk later, you need your rest." he told her softly as he stroked her hair gently back from her face.

Leo brought her some soup, and gently fed her, as Raph took Monet. Mikey was watching and approached Molly, and placed a soft hug to her. "We missed you, dudette." he whispered.

Molly smiled, and held his hand. Leo smiled, and continued feeding her. " I'm so glad your back...Raph was going insane without you." he told her.

She nodded, "I thought I would never see him again. I thought I wouldn't see you all again, I was giving up..." she spoke as her tears fell.


A week later Molly had recovered, but was not permitted to do anything strenuous, she took it easy and tended to her twins. She night she was watching her twins sleeping soundly in their crib, and thought about what happened to her, she was now worried for their safety, if they were discovered, and taken. She sniffled quietly, and wiped away her tears, Raph saw her crying, and held her close, as they saw their twins. " I worry for them Raph." she sniffled.

He remained quiet and sighed.

" I can't let anything happen to them." she told him.

" We won't let anything happen to them...I promise." he said gently placed a soft kiss to her lips. She smiled and kissed him with more passion.

He smirked, " Remember honey, your not fully healed."

" I know, but is kissing allowed?" she smirked back.

"You bet it is." he smirked, and carried her bridal style. " You know what... how about you and I go out on a night patrol."

" Molly..."

" I mean... you know... somewhere place more quiet, and... away." she smiled innocently, but he got the hint.

" Oh let's go on a patrol then." he said, and hurried with her out to the roofs, he let her out of his arms, and they ran together, she wanted to run, and she was getting stronger to run, she ran passed him, and leaped to the ladder which was the way up to the man hole, and hurried up the firescape, reaching the roof with him behind her, he lifted her up into the air, and held her close.

"I missed seeing you like this." he admitted.

" Your love is what kept me going, Raph." she smiled tenderly at him.


The next morning, Leo awoke and sat on the sofa with Mikey, "Where's Raph?" he asked.

" I have no idea, Molly isn't here either." Mikey said.

Suddenly Raph and Molly returned, and in quite a little daze, " See you at training Raph." Leo said.

" Yea yea ..." Raph said ignoring him.

Mikey laughed, " That's love for you."

Leo rolled his eyes, and shook his head. " Being a leader there's no time for that."

" Oh but we all know, that you like Molly... you talk about her in your sleep, it has me and Donny laughing at night." Mikey said chuckling.

Leo eye's went wide, but remained to be unmoved, " I just really care for her."

"Sure...not what you be saying in your sleep." Mikey replied.

"Shut up Mikey." Leo said leaving the sofa.


A week passed, and in the lair as the brothers were training, Molly was with the twins, and noticed Rebelle was trying to walk, Molly gasped, " Guys, Guys! Rebelle is trying to walk!"

Molly stood up next to Rebelle and held her close, Raph and his brothers came in a hurry. Raph knelt and saw Rebelle standing, and started giggling when she saw her father, he knelt down, with and gestured for her to come to him. " Come on Rebbie." he said.

Rebbie shakily took a step and then another, she fell back but Molly caught her and stood her straight, she kept taking a few more steps, and she landed in her father's arms. "Dadee!" Raph held his little girl. " That's my little Rebbie." he smiled.

Molly smiled as she held Monet, she smiled at her daughter, and was so happy to see her daughter walking, and she knew Monet would soon follow. "I think now, we will have to be super vigilant, we will have two little runners in the lair." Molly chuckled.

Months later, the twins were running about in the lair, and were being chased by Mikey, as Cali was running behind Mikey as he tried to catch Rebelle and Monet. Until their mother was in front of them... "Kids... your tiring your uncle Mikey." she said as her tail flickered.

" Thank you Mikey." she said as she grabbed the twins, "It's bath time, and off to bed." she told them.

" No, No...dadee!" Rebelle yelled.

Monet too was calling his father. " Dadee."

Raph chuckled. " What!" he yelled.

" No bath, no bath." they yelled back.

Raph followed behind Molly and took Monet, and Rebelle, " I got them."

Molly chuckled and let him tend to the twins, she relaxed on the sofa next to April and Cali. " Twins are crazy." Molly chuckled.

April chuckled as well, and watched what was on the news, and saw something was not right, and sighed, they knew the foot was becoming too dangerous and they feared for their kids, Molly and April talked.

" They need to learn in how to defend themselves." Molly pointed out.

April nodded as she saw her daughter sleeping soundly next to her, " Your right, they have to protect themselves, and we have the best teachers around to train them." April replied as they saw Splinter training Leo and the others.

Molly and April nodded. " We have to talk to Master Splinter." Molly said.

When the training was over, the women of the lair, approached Master Splinter, and then they began their discussion.

" Splinter, we have been thinking about something...you see, with the Foot clan on the rise, and the danger from what they did to me, we have decided for you to train our kids, so they could defend themselves as you did for your sons." Molly said in great respect to him.

Mikey stood next to April. " I would be a great idea, for them to protect themselves, just in case something should happen to us, or we can't protect them." April pointed out.

Molly nodded at April's comment. Splinter thought for a moment, and knew they were right, his grandchildren should learn how to protect themselves. "Fine... when they are old enough, we will teach them... they will learn the ways of the Ninja..."
